Vibram – the five fingered, minimalist, barefoot running shoe purchased by me from the Georgio Bruntini shop in Buffalo last night. The shoe I am going to run a 5K in next year! 🙂
Research shows that less cushion while running eases stress on ankle, knee, and hip joints. And, less impact sounds great to me! Evidence has also been found that barefoot running trains an individual to run in more correct form – a mid foot or forefoot strike.
Plus, it’s a great item for jetsetters – lightweight, squishable, and sylishly Italian.
Buy a pair too and lets run a 5K together in 2012! Check out www.coolrunning.com for lists of desination races by state and month.
Who’s interested in a run? Buddy passes are available for friends wishing to run at locations requiring air travel.
